C.H. POPESCO is one of the five women producers of the 2001 Tony Awards nominee Broadway musical Jane Eyre, which she translated and adapted into French, to open in France. Also in the works, is the American Premiere and world Premiere in English of the Musical directed by Robert Hossein, La Vie En Bleu, previously produced by The Prince Rainier and Robert Hossein in Monte Carlo and Paris, to open at the Walnut Street Theatre, in Philadelphia in September 2002, which she translated and adapted into English. This last year, with the Open Fist Theatre Company in Los Angeles and the support of  “Étant Donnés”, the French-American Fund for the Performing Arts, Miss Popesco presented the American Premiere of Jean-Noël Fenwick’s Talk Show from Hell and the world Premiere of Matei Visniec’s How to Explain the History of Communism to Mental Patients shown in Los Angeles. Both plays were adapted and translated by Catherine Popesco and Jeremy Lawrence.  A few months later Matei Visniec’s play was produced in New York at the Théâtre de l’Alliance Française /French Institute, with the support of the New York Public Library during there exhibition on UTOPIA. In 2001 she co-produced Paul Claudel’s The Book of Christopher Columbus at Stages Theatre in Hollywood, and produced Roland Dubillard’s DIABLOGUES, as a world Premiere, in English on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood.  She is presently co-producing Perchance To Dream by Jean-Claude Grumberg and Roland Dubillard’s Paternelle with hid daughter Ariane Dubillard. Miss Popesco began her producing career in Los Angeles with Le Père Noël Est Une Ordure “ by the Splendid followed shortly by Molière’s Les Précieuses Ridicules in French and English. In addition to her theatrical activities, Miss Popesco is the writer of the visionary musical TRIANGLES and the owner and creator of the international accessory company La Vie Parisienne Inc, her designs are manufactured in the workshop she built in the center of France, Loire region, in the middle of a vineyard, called AU BOUT DES REVES. Some of her creations, which reinvent the glorious designs of the past, can be seen in various movies, presently in the current film Moulin Rouge.
